Like, look at that stupid look on her face. Why does she feel the need to say that. Why not just smile and nod. Who really gives a shit?

If someone tells me to keep a family member in my thoughts, I don’t rip their head off and say “I’M GOING TO PRAY FOR THEM. THOUGHTS DON’T DO ANYTHING.”.

The world needs more people who aren’t complete douchebags about their beliefs. Those are my kind of people. You can be a Christian or worship the damn devil, just don’t be annoying about what you do or do not believe in.

But I think it’s annoying how she has to bite her tongue because i’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time she’s wanted to say that. Because she’s an atheist and not afraid to speak her mind she’s an asshole? I understand he’s only doing what he knows but do you know how many times people talk to me about God and I want to completely disregard what they’re saying because I don’t relate anymore. But if I say, I don’t agree with what you’re saying I’m an asshole? I’m pretty sure atheism has contributed so much negativity but I think it’s so ridiculous to be angry at her for speaking her mind. People like her aren’t the problem the problem is people not being open to those who don’t want to just shut up because they’re afraid of hurting feelings

how in the world is she being an asshole for simply stating that she’s an atheist?

why should she have to smile and nod as if everyone in this country has the same belief system?

you say people should be less annoying about their beliefs and yet it’s the reporter who exposes his own christian beliefs with his question. And it’s pretty douchey of him to presume she has the same beliefs as him- just look at his statement- “you’ve got to thank the lord, right?” as if it’s the truth and she has to agree. NO. She doesn’t have to thank anyone if that’s not what she believes.

Oh, btw, prayers ARE thoughts. It’s all in your head… it’s not tangible.
